Specializing in sophisticated, women's ready-to-wear clothing, Lucy's boasts a wide array of upscale brands. But the personalized service may be even more irresistible than the clothes themselves. From the eye-catching window displays to the exquisitely laid-out floor plan, this store delivers all it promises.

Owned by Diane, the shop was named after a childhood friend-a simple and down-to-earth concept and one of the many ways in which this store proves that high-end fashion can be bought without high-end attitude. Warm and friendly, Diane prides herself on providing customized attention in combination with a handpicked selection of unique fashion items for each season. Prior to opening Lucy's, Diane lived in Hoboken for several years and had been looking for the right real estate opportunity to come along. She had a clear vision of the kind of store she felt Hoboken residents needed-a women's store with trendy-but sophisticated and lasting-designer clothing for each season.

As a psychology major in college, Diane had not planned on a career on fashion until a chance internship followed by a series of successful fashion jobs proved that she had a natural knack for working with women's clothing. Now a fashion veteran, Diane has worked for a variety of prestigious fashion houses and designer stores-including Bergdorf Goodman. Most recently she was the Fashion Director for Women's Ready-to-Wear at Saks Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.

The atmosphere of Lucy's is a relaxing one in which you can shop, browse, or comfortably try on clothing. Diane encourages customers or anyone who's curious to casually look around and try on. There are smart black-and-white striped dressing rooms that coordinate with the signature black-and-white hatboxes adorned with the store's namesake. She's also available to guide anyone (men are welcome!) shopping for gifts. While the space holds an impressive amount of merchandise, it's all beautifully displayed and easily within reach. And the fashion treasures you will find include dresses, skirts, tops, pants, lingerie, accessories, handbags, jewelry, and bath & body products. The spring will bring the arrival of flip-flops as well. Some of the popular designers and brands featured are Michael Kors, Isabella Fiore, Seven jeans, and La Perla... to name a few.
