Sweatshop Music is located in downtown town Hoboken, New Jersey five minutes outside of downtown Manhattan via Holland Tunnel or PATH train service. We are situated within a large industrial complex that houses artists, craftsman, and small independent businesses. Our facility operates 24/7, 7 days a week and has every conceivable type of restaurant and pub within walking distance to our door.
The Sweatshop is known for its extremely relaxed vibe and no-pressure recording experience. There is even a kegolater in the tracking room.
The studio is owned and operated by Alan Camlet and Adam Michel. Alan is a freelance Drummer/percussionist/programmer/producer in NYC for the last 10 years and continues to fight the good fight saving the world from bad rock records and keeping the ideal of the guitar solo alive and well. Adam is formerly of LoHo Studios in Manhattan and plays just about every string instrument and keyboard instrument made ,while having quite the signing voice. Everyone that works in the Sweatshop are musicians.
