Garbage and recycling will be placed at curbside after 9 PM for pick-up on the designated evening. Placing of materials at curbside prior to 9 PM will result in the issuing of a summons with a mandatory court appearance. There will be no exceptions. This includes property owners, tenants and merchants.
Section 110-24 Storage of refuse reseptacles:
Refuse reseptacles shall be stored only in areas designated for storage between collections. They shall be placed adjacent to the curb in front of the premises or other designated for collection no earlier than 9:00 pm and no later than 12:00 midnight on the day before collection. Refuse receptacles shall no be stored on the sidewalk in front of buildings or house between collections.
Place all recycalables and garbage at curbside in front of your building, (or in your building's designated receptacles) on the designated evening between 9 PM and midnight for collection in the early morning. No disposal on evenings before holidays.

A drop-off center for recyclables is open at the Municipal Garage located at the corner of Observer Hwy. and Willow Ave. Operating hours are Seven Days a Week 8-4. The center will accept cans, bottles, jars, household batteries, yard waste, air conditioners and other household appliances.

All garbage should be placed in leakproof, wasteproof containers or in tied plastic bags.
All waste not specified in the recycling section is garbage. Do not put garbage in cardboard boxes.
Any wooden, upholstered or plastic furniture, mattresses, TV's or other bulk waste.

BOTTLES: Any color of glass bottles and jars, remove lids & tops.
CANS: Aluminum (pop-top) and tin cans; clean aluminum foil and aluminum food containers.
PLASTICS: Plastic bottles from beverages and food, household and personal cleaning products.
NO: Window glass, mirrors, light bulbs, china aerosol cans, metal hangers, plastic lids, styrofoam, or containers from motor oil or paint.
TUESDAY & THURSDAY EVENINGS
Metal Appliances & Metal Furniture For safety, remove doors from refrigerators and all other items with latching doors. Call 420-2385 for collection.
APPLIANCES: Refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, hot water heaters, air conditioners and other appliances.
METAL FURNITURE: File cabinets, desks, bed frames, etc.
Mixed Paper & Cardboard
Place paper in tied cardboard boxes, tied bundles, tied paper bags or clear plastic bags. Corrugated boxes must be flattened and tied. Do not use tape.
CARDBOARD: Corrugated cardboard and thin cardboard (cereal boxes, gift boxes etc.)
NEWSPAPERS, MAGAZINES, CATALOGS, BOOKS: Hardcover, paperback, telephone directories.
PAPERS: Junk mail, envelopes, office and computer paper, art paper, manila folders, paper bags, etc.
NO: Wax, foil or plastic-coated material, plastic window envelopes, blue or black carbon paper.
