Let's be clear about something. Moveon did NOT create these ads. They were created by people that submitted the ads to MoveON's website. Of course most Republicans KNOW this but choose to ignore it because they think this justifies Bush's actions.

So because some 527 allowed some nobody to post this ad on their website as part of a contest that makes it ok for George Bush to post the SAME ad with Kerry as the image because he's defending himself? Yeah, sure. Just because the ad in question happened 6 MONTHS ago shouldn't be a factor. Just because the ads were pulled off the website withing 48 hours of being discovered shouldn't be a factor. And just because they were two ads out of 1500 shouldn't matter. Because we are simply looking for reasons to justify the Bush campaign's contemptuous acts.

Oddly not one Democrat I have ever heard, at any level, thought the initial ads were appropriate. Too bad most Republicans think that Bush doing them IS appropriate.
The lack of decency is what is coming from the left and this ad was merely demonstrating that. You can try and spin it if you want, but Democrats can't have it both ways.

Bullsh!t. The ad was done by some private person. For all I know it was done by a Bush operative, given how quickly the Right pounced on one of 1500 ads that isn't unreasonable.

But if you feel that Moveon.org and the Bush campaign are on equal footing there isn't much to say. Let's just say I don't agree with that sentiment in the least.

I am simply amazed that you find this ok for Bush.

You don't find it OK to replay some of the horrible things that have been said against him? I find that unbelievable.

By the way, you can denounce the MoveOn.org ad all you want, but look at how you titled this thread...are you implying that Bush & Hitler are "old friends"?

Can't have it both ways.

You think that is what that ad is doing? The ad was on the website for 48 hours 6 MONTHS ago. Moveon APOLOGIZED for the ad and pulled it. But apparently that isn't enough. What Bush REALLY needed to do, in order to clear his name, was have an ad do the same thing with John Kerry.

Yeah sure. Odd how that ad didn't have George Bush's name or face anywhere on it. How is this defending him?

It was a double meaning title. One being the obvious implication of Bush and Hitler. The other being the popular whipping boy of this ad that Conservatives have gleefully brought up over and over and over and over for the past 6 months.
