I am a retired cop who is currently employed by an engineering firm as an accident reconstructionist. I am 55 years old and have been singing Sinatra songs since I was about 16 or 17. I grew up in the Rock and Roll era of the late 50s and the 1960s. I knew who Sinatra was but never really knew much about his music. While at the home of a friend, he played a Sinatra 45 single containing the song Cycles. Something about the song and the way he sang it moved me deeply. I was hooked and never looked back.

Raised in Cliffside Park, NJ a few miles north of Hoboken and now I reside in Sussex County. As a young man I listened and danced to Frank Sinatra’s songs on local jukeboxes and became a fan. At present I am a retired co-owner of an instrument manufacturing business formerly located in Waldwick, NJ and now in Carlstadt, NJ with the new owners. In the past 15 years or so I have been listening carefully to the Sinatra repertoire and learning to sing “his” songs using CD instrumental tracks many of which are reminiscent of the original Sinatra arrangements.

I am a Senior Manager of Project Management and Operational Analysis for Choice Logistics I started singing Sinatra back when i was in college. I worked my way through by hosting several regular talent nights on Staten Island and I would sing in between acts. Now my 18 year old DAUGHTER sings Sinatra at various events and in school talent shows. I guess the apple does NOT fall far from the tree :)

Profession: Management Consultant
How I got started singing Sinatra tunes:
As a kid I played piano and trombone, and I always loved the standards. But I never sang until I auditioned for a community theater play as an adult and only singing parts were left. I had to sing on the spot and they loved my voice (I got the part). After that, I got the singing bug and karaoke made it easy. And since Frank's voice first matured listening to Tommy Dorsey's trombone, you could say we both went through the same training program.

5. Rory Aylward
Astoria, NY 11103 rory.aylward@us.army.mil
I am an Army Reservist who just returned from a deployment to Afghanistan. On the civilian side, I work in the film industry and was one of the producers of a Hallmark Channel film called "Silent Night" that starred Linda Hamilton. I have been a Sinatra fan since I was in high school, but didn't start singing until they had karaoke at the Officer's Club when I was on temporary duty in North Dakota in the summer of 1995. I started singing a lot in when I moved to San Luis Obispo, CA in 2001 and recently had the privilege and pleasure of singing "That's Life" and "New York, New York" at the "Sinatra Birthday Bash" at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank, NJ with a band led by Joe Muccioli. It was one of the best nights of my life.

I'm an Executive Recruiter with The Network Group in Wilmington, DE. I started as a Sinatra fan when I was a baby, instead of singing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" or "Mary Had A Little Lamb", my Mother would hold me and sing Frank songs like "In The Wee Small Houirs Of The Morning" and "Nice & Easy". By the time I was 7, I was playing my Parents Sinatra albums, singing along with them. This all progressed till in High School, instead of The Rolling Stones or Elton John, I was all Frank. My friends had to listen to my Frank 8 Track Tapes if they wanted to ride in my car and to this day, those same friends thank me often for that musical education, especially now when at our age of 52(ish), they know all of those Frank songs and impress others by knowing them. I recently turned 50 years old and I started to perform Frank in a play at first and that has led to all kind of gigs and now in these past 2 years, it's grown into some regular local gigs. I even just did a web site: www.seanssinatra.com
