Mile Square Theatre presents David Sedaris’s The Santaland Diaries
Mile Square Theatre, Hudson County’s regional professional theatre in residence at Monroe Center for the Arts, brings humorist David Sedaris’s holiday story
The Santaland Diaries to Shades Bar and Restaurant. Adapted by Tony-award winner Joe Mantello, The Santaland Diaries is Sedaris’s hilarious account of his days at Macy’s Department Store as Crumpet the Elf. Witty and sardonic, The Santaland Diaries is a cup of holiday eggnog that’s decidedly for grownups.
Playing the role of Crumpet is MST favorite John McAdams. McAdams is well-known for his work with Tectonic Theatre (The Laramie Project, Gross Indecency) and has many off-Broadway and regional theatre credits. He starred in the HBO film The Laramie Project. For MST, he played Iago in Othello and has been beaned by many baseballs in Craig Wright’s Foul Territory. The Santaland Diaries will be directed by MST Artistic Director Chris O’Connor.
The Santaland Diaries is sponsored by Monroe Center for the Arts.
