The Fuzzy Lemons bring their trademark combination of toe-tapping tunes, whimsical lyrics and zany audience participation to every show, making it a great event the whole family can enjoy together!
Big Jeff & the Bouncy People
The hardest-working six-foot-six-inch singer-songwriter in family music. His blend of humor, learning and “super-interactive” audience participation has been captivating young audiences across the New York Metropolitan area for the past ten years. Along the way, he’s toured up and down New England and California, sold over 10,000 CDs and DVDs, and has grown a large and loyal family fan base.
Garden Street Singers
Comprised of talented young singers who take private music lessons at Hoboken's own Garden Street Music and have performed at The Hoboken City Hall Tree Lighting, The W Hotel and will be singing at Hoboken Family Alliance's Cabin Fever in February. Garden Street Music offers private piano, guitar, voice, violin, drums and bass lessons for children and adults in all genres of music by professional and certified teachers with degrees in music and sound recording some who have shared the stage with The Push Stars, Moby, Matchbox Twenty, Sting, Dave Matthews, and Julian Lennon.
Puppetonia
Has taught children more than just ABC's and 123’s. The music and puppet shows incorporate important social skills, early academics, thinking skills, motor skills, and self-expression. They will be performing: The Princess Saves the Day!—a new take on an iconic story with knights, frogs, a stone tower, a dancing dragon, and our hero: a tiny pink princess. An inspiration for anybody who thinks that his efforts are too small for such a great task as helping Haiti now!
BeVocal
Is a brand new professional music space in Hoboken, offering lessons in voice, piano, guitar, and more! Be Vocal is also a super cool rehearsal or performance space.
Glenn Mercer
Is the lead singer/guitarist/composer of the recently re-united Hoboken based, alternative band The Feelies, whose debut album, Crazy Rhythms, was voted in the top 50 albums of the 1980s by Rolling Stone magazine and chosen by Spin magazine as one of the best alternative albums. In 2007, he released his first solo record, "Wheels In Motion". His music draws on a diverse range of influences, including the music he grew up listening to: rock, punk, psychedelic, blues and folk.
Schocholautte
Based in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, Schocholautte (shock-o-lot) is a 3-piece rock band that formed in 2007 over a mutual love of comic books, 8-bit video games, & 90’s alt-rock. They are currently recording the full length follow up to their self released EP "Oodles of Charm."
Sputnik
Is a New York City/Cape Cod-based indie pop band led by singer/songwriter Genie Morrow formerly of Longwave whose combination of dreamy vocals, ambient guitar effects, trumpet, keyboards and accordion create a joyful, summery blend of straight ahead pop, with dreamy and irresistible melodies. In addition to recording several CDs that have garnered radio airplay across the US, Sputnik has toured up and down the East Coast, sharing stages with pop and rock giants Spoon, Peter Noone, Howie Day, and The Magic Numbers.
Shrubs
Shrubs have been fusing garage pop and alien poetics for 15 years. They were recently invited by The Feelies to open reunion shows in NYC, Brooklyn and Washington DC. Glenn Mercer, who co-produced their latest CD, will join them on stage at Maxwell's. They perform music a mix of garage/psych/punk/folk/pop that has been described as “garage pop fused with alien poetics.”
Smokey's Roundup
Guitarist Smokey Hormel can be heard on albums by greats such as Johnny Cash, Beck, Tom Waits, Neil Diamond, John Doe, Joe Strummer, as well as numerous film and telelvison scores. His Western Swing band Smokey's Round–Up plays shows regularly in New York City.
Jennifer Lampert
Has toured the world with the USO as Miss USO 2001 singing for audiences of 8- 80,000, and has headlined with Phylliss Diller, opened for Lee Greenwood, sang Shea & Giant Stadium, played the Waldorff and Rainbow Room and more. She will be joined by Jeremy Beck, a soulful singer, songwriter and musician who has worked with everyone from Missy Elliot, Kool & The Gang, Jeff Andrews, George Petit to The Jimmy Dorsey Band and Bernard Purdie.
Dakota Davenport & Dan McLoughlin
Dakota Davenport is a fresh, young, singer-songwriter in development with world famous publishing S1 Songs, and Dan McLoughlin of the Push Stars (Capitol Records), Music Producer, owner of the Vault Recording Studio & Garden St. Music in Hoboken.
Dave Calamoneri
songs are simple, but not shallow. Inspired by the poetry of train whistles and street traffic. His harmonica and voice sing over chords and rhythms he finds walking down the street or along the water. He has performed in shows with Curt Kirkwood of the Meat Puppets, the incomparable Alejandro Escovedo, the mighty Stephen Malkmus, Bob Mould, the English Beat, Pat McGee, and Jimmy Gnecco among others.
Abbe Rivers
A voice like warm honey with crunchy bits, a rock soul diva,
she has been compared to likes of Janis Joplin, Sheryl Crow & Joan Osborne. A local favorite of Hoboken, she has performed in rock musicals off-broadway, with Julio Fernandez of Spyro Gyra, for Jim Rado (writer & creator of HAIR), recently opened for Rufus Wainwright and has written & performed with Muzz Skillings of Living Colour.
