The Hoboken Harriers Running Club\, founded in 1988\, is a diverse group of runners and joggers from Hoboken\, New Jersey\, and surrounding Hudson County. The Club\, known as the HOHAs\, provides runners with camaraderie and support as well as a social component through sponsoring various social and charitable events annually.
Runners of all abilities are welcome - please contact us if you have an interest in running. We do recommend that you attend a Tuesday night run for your first run with the Club.

The Mile Square Toastmasters club is the Hoboken\, NJ (the \\"Mile Square City\\") chapter of Toastmasters International. We provide a safe and supportive environment in which to develop your public speaking skills -- no matter the level of your ability. Participation is optional\, but it's always encouraged.
We meet at 7\:30 PM every Monday (except major holidays)\, at The Hudson School\, 601 Park Avenue\, Hoboken\, NJ. Mile Square is the home club of the District 83 Lt. Governor for Education\, Brian Lin.

The Mile Square Toastmasters was chartered in 1996. Before moving to its current home at Hoboken's Hudson School\, the group convened--for over eight years--at the Academy of the Sacred Heart on Washington Street. Before that\, the club met at the uptown Hoboken YMCA and even a local bar (Lady Jane's).
Our club has an eclectic and lively group of members. The weekly gatherings are structured\, with participants signing up for prepared speeches and meeting roles prior to the start of each evening's agenda. Although we adhere to many of the guidelines of the Toastmasters Program\, we don't push such things as a dress code or the need to belong to any other specific group (e.g. Hoboken residents or corporate employees). Ours is a community club\, with membership open to anyone genuinely interested in improving his or her speaking and leadership skills.

The Hoboken Rotary has been actively contributing to the community for more than 80 years. The club has more than 30 members and we are very interested in growing the club. Each year we raise funds to support local causes as well as significant causes across the country and throughout the world. We annually give 4 scholarships to Hoboken graduating seniors\, dictionaries to all Hoboken 3rd graders\, personalized books to all Hoboken 1st graders\, and substantial donations to other Hoboken not-for-profits. Members participate in many events including golf outings\, art auctions\, award dinners\, civic functions\, and many social events. Hoboken Rotary is a part of Rotary International\, which has one of the 2 non-country seats in the United Nations\, more than 1 million members in 165 countries\, and more than a billion dollars in its various funds to be used annually\, solely for humanitarian purposes. The Hoboken Rotary meets for lunch every Tuesday at 12\:15pm at Frankie and Johnnies on Washington Street. Please come as our guest! Adult Children of Alcoholics is a recovery program for adults who were raised in an alcoholic or any dysfunctional family. In our meetings we find a place of understanding and safety. We share our stories\, and learn how our past affects our present lives. We come to see that we are not alone. We understand that whatever has happened to us has happened to others.
Hoboken ACOA meets each Tuesday from 7\:00pm to 8\:00pm at St. Peter and Paul's Church\, located at Fourth and Hudson Streets. We meet in the Parish Hall next to the Church. Also known as baduk\, wei ch''i\, weiqi\, and igo\, it is played today by millions of people\, including thousands in the United States. In Japan\, Korea\, China\, and Taiwan\, it is far more popular than chess is in the West\, and professional players compete for large cash prizes. Its popularity in this country continues to grow\, more than fifty years after the founding of the American Go Association. It is said that the rules of Go can be learned in minutes\, but that it can take a lifetime to master the game. Two players alternate in placing black and white stones on a large (19x19 line) ruled board\, with the aim of surrounding territory. We meet at 7\:30 PM every Monday (except major holidays)\, at The Hudson School\, 601 Park Avenue\, Hoboken\, NJ. Mile Square is the home club of the District 83 Lt. Governor for Education\, Brian Lin.
About Our Club
The Mile Square Toastmasters was chartered in 1996. Before moving to its current home at Hoboken's Hudson School\, the group convened--for over eight years--at the Academy of the Sacred Heart on Washington Street. Before that\, the club met at the uptown Hoboken YMCA and even a local bar (Lady Jane's).
Our club has an eclectic and lively group of members. The weekly gatherings are structured\, with participants signing up for prepared speeches and meeting roles prior to the start of each evening's agenda. Although we adhere to many of the guidelines of the Toastmasters Program\, we don't push such things as a dress code or the need to belong to any other specific group (e.g. Hoboken residents or corporate employees). Ours is a community club\, with membership open to anyone genuinely interested in improving his or her speaking and leadership skills.

The Hoboken Rotary has been actively contributing to the community for more than 80 years. The club has more than 30 members and we are very interested in growing the club. Each year we raise funds to support local causes as well as significant causes across the country and throughout the world. We annually give 4 scholarships to Hoboken graduating seniors\, dictionaries to all Hoboken 3rd graders\, personalized books to all Hoboken 1st graders\, and substantial donations to other Hoboken not-for-profits. Members participate in many events including golf outings\, art auctions\, award dinners\, civic functions\, and many social events. Hoboken Rotary is a part of Rotary International\, which has one of the 2 non-country seats in the United Nations\, more than 1 million members in 165 countries\, and more than a billion dollars in its various funds to be used annually\, solely for humanitarian purposes. Adult Children of Alcoholics is a recovery program for adults who were raised in an alcoholic or any dysfunctional family. In our meetings we find a place of understanding and safety. We share our stories\, and learn how our past affects our present lives. We come to see that we are not alone. We understand that whatever has happened to us has happened to others.

The Hoboken Rotary has been actively contributing to the community for more than 80 years. The club has more than 30 members and we are very interested in growing the club. Each year we raise funds to support local causes as well as significant causes across the country and throughout the world. We annually give 4 scholarships to Hoboken graduating seniors\, dictionaries to all Hoboken 3rd graders\, personalized books to all Hoboken 1st graders\, and substantial donations to other Hoboken not-for-profits. Members participate in many events including golf outings\, art auctions\, award dinners\, civic functions\, and many social events. Hoboken Rotary is a part of Rotary International\, which has one of the 2 non-country seats in the United Nations\, more than 1 million members in 165 countries\, and more than a billion dollars in its various funds to be used annually\, solely for humanitarian purposes. The Hoboken Rotary meets for lunch every Tuesday at 12\:15pm at Frankie and Johnnies on Washington Street. Please come as our guest! Adult Children of Alcoholics is a recovery program for adults who were raised in an alcoholic or any dysfunctional family. In our meetings we find a place of understanding and safety. We share our stories\, and learn how our past affects our present lives. We come to see that we are not alone. We understand that whatever has happened to us has happened to others.
Hoboken ACOA meets each Tuesday from 7\:00pm to 8\:00pm at St. Peter and Paul's Church\, located at Fourth and Hudson Streets. We meet in the Parish Hall next to the Church. The groups sings music from all ages\, including chant\, classical and contemporary choral pieces. This choir serves the Roman Catholic community at Sts. The Hoboken Go Club meets every Monday evening to play the Asian game of Go (Wei Ch''i\, Baduk). Go is a fascinating board game that originated in China more than 4\,000 years ago. Also known as baduk\, wei ch''i\, weiqi\, and igo\, it is played today by millions of people\, including thousands in the United States. In Japan\, Korea\, China\, and Taiwan\, it is far more popular than chess is in the West\, and professional players compete for large cash prizes. Its popularity in this country continues to grow\, more than fifty years after the founding of the American Go Association. It is said that the rules of Go can be learned in minutes\, but that it can take a lifetime to master the game. Two players alternate in placing black and white stones on a large (19x19 line) ruled board\, with the aim of surrounding territory. The Mile Square Toastmasters club is the Hoboken\, NJ (the \\"Mile Square City\\") chapter of Toastmasters International. We provide a safe and supportive environment in which to develop your public speaking skills -- no matter the level of your ability. Participation is optional\, but it's always encouraged.
We meet at 7\:30 PM every Monday (except major holidays)\, at The Hudson School\, 601 Park Avenue\, Hoboken\, NJ. Mile Square is the home club of the District 83 Lt. Governor for Education\, Brian Lin.
About Our Club
The Mile Square Toastmasters was chartered in 1996. Before moving to its current home at Hoboken's Hudson School\, the group convened--for over eight years--at the Academy of the Sacred Heart on Washington Street. Before that\, the club met at the uptown Hoboken YMCA and even a local bar (Lady Jane's).
Our club has an eclectic and lively group of members. The weekly gatherings are structured\, with participants signing up for prepared speeches and meeting roles prior to the start of each evening's agenda. Although we adhere to many of the guidelines of the Toastmasters Program\, we don't push such things as a dress code or the need to belong to any other specific group (e.g. Hoboken residents or corporate employees). Ours is a community club\, with membership open to anyone genuinely interested in improving his or her speaking and leadership skills.
