"Suspended in Time: Works on Glass," an exhibit of new work by artist McKevin Shaughnessy, whose subject is the way certain local businesses have become time capsules from the past century. Photographs and a word that distills the essence of the business are transposed on glass in a series of six works in the Upper Gallery. The opening reception is FREE

Heaven, Hell or Hoboken talk: Ann Hagedorn, historian and author of Savage Peace, Hope and Fear in America, 1919, will speak about how the tensions generated in the run-up to and aftermath of the war reshaped America. Her 2007 book focuses on a watershed year that in many ways foreshadowed our present-day struggles with domestic spying, free speech, immigration and US intervention abroad. At the Museum.
