THE ELYSIAN PHILOSOPHY
The Elysian Charter School is based on many of the philosophies taught at the Bank Street College Graduate School of Education (in New York City). We are child-centered, holistic, and progressive.
Hoboken Catholic
The Hoboken Charter School was conceived and developed by a group of Hoboken parents and professional educators. The school's founders believe that a community composed of learners of all ages fosters a spirit of collaboration that is a necessary part of a successful educational experience. We believe that students thrive in environments where expectations are clear and consistent at all levels, and where students are known -- not only by their peers, but by the entire school community.

Mission Statement
In Depth
Programs, philosophy, and school life
Our understanding of God and the world is the basis for our philosophy and practice, affecting just about every aspect of daily life at Mustard Seed.
Our academic programs focus on excellence with an emphasis on integrating the fine arts across the curriculum.
Celebration and worship are central to our life together both daily and at specific points within the school year.
Students learn about service as a response to what we learn about God and the world.
Stevens Cooperative School (Stevens), which will soon celebrate its 60th anniversary, is the only nonsectarian private elementary school in Hoboken. Originally an informal playgroup for children of the faculty at Stevens Institute of Technology, Stevens is now a progressive school with campuses in Hoboken and Jersey City educating more than 350 students from the 2s through 8th grade. While Stevens has seen many changes over the years, the School's commitment to both progressive education and parental involvement as key elements of the institution has remained constant.
Mission
Stevens Institute of Technology creates new knowledge and educates and inspires students to acquire the competencies needed to lead in scientific discovery and in the creation, application and management of technology to solve complex problems and to build new enterprises.
The Institutional Vision
The Hudson School provides intellectually inquisitive students in grades 5-12 with a rigorous and relevant college-preparatory education that inspires independent thinking and intellectual risk-taking with the goal of developing compassionate, responsible, principled citizens who are socially conscious and committed to lifelong learning and service. The school fosters an eclectic and supportive environment that challenges students and faculty to develop their passions and talents through a stimulating, balanced and creative interdisciplinary curriculum.
