South Crosstown Bus Route
The crosstown bus runs every half hour, on the hour, between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm.

North Crosstown Bus Route
The crosstown bus runs every half hour, on the hour, between the hours of 7:00am and 9:00pm. The fare is 50 cents (25 cents for senior citizens and children under 12).

Senior Citizen Bus Schedule
Buses: CITY BUS | SHOP-RITE BUS | NEWPORT MALL BUS
The City of Hoboken is proud to provide the very best of service to out senior citizens. As part of this effort, we operate a Senior Citizen Bus exclusively for senior citizens and handicapped persons.

The bus operates on a 60 minute schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:30pm, giving you plenty of time throughout the day to do your shopping and errands.

There is NO FARE charged for the Senior Citizen Bus. Please note, however, that the bus is out of service from 12:00pm to 1:00pm each day, for the driver to take a lunch break.

CITY BUS
Bus Service begins at the Monroe Garden senior building at 221 Jackson Street, and proceeds to the following main stops:
  • 3rd and Adams Street
  • Multi-Service Center (124 Grand Street)
  • Columbian Towers (76 Bloomfield Street)
  • Washington Street (all corners on the east side from Observer to 13th)
  • A&P Supermarket (620 Clinton Street)
  • Fox Hill (311 13th Street)
  • Columbus Gardens (8th & 9th & Jefferson Streets
  • Columbian Arms (514 Madison Street)
Note: this bus will stop at Shop Rite on 9th and Madison Streets. If you have any questions or need further information, please call 201-420-5614.

SHOP-RITE BUS
In order to meet the need’s of Hoboken’s Senior Citizen population, the city of Hoboken operates a FREE Senior Shop-Rite Shuttle.

Bus service is provided Tuesdays and Fridays with two daily trips as follows:

Tuesday & Friday morning schedule:
The morning trip starts at 9:00am from the Multi-Service Center (124 Grand Street) and proceeds to:
  • 221 Jackson Street (Monroe Gardens)
  • 220 Adams Street (Adams Gardens)
  • Columbian Arms (514 Madison Street)
Tuesday and Friday afternoon schedule:
Starting at 1:00pm from Fox Hill (311 13th Street) and proceeds to:
  • 5th and Washington Streets (1:15pm)
  • Newark and Washington Streets (1:30pm)
  • Columbian Towers- 76 Bloomfield Street (1:45 pm)
The city of Hoboken also operates a Shop-Rite Shuttle run on Saturdays at 10:00am.

NEWPORT MALL BUS
The city of Hoboken also operates a Newport Mall Shuttle on Saturdays: 1:00pm pickup at Senior Citizen Buildings (two hours of shopping), 3:30pm return trip. A new and expanded route is being developed.
